Porcelain Jewellery
I make one-off pieces of jewellery created from individually crafted and decorated beads. Each necklace begins as a slab of porcelain clay which is rolled, decorated with impressed patterns and underglaze colours. The beads are then cut and shaped before drying slowly before firing to 1000c. This converts the clay to ceramics which is a much tougher material. The beads are then glazed and fired again to 1250c and hand finished. I like to combine porcelain beads with freshwater pearls, ceramic replica sea shells and semi -precious stones creating one off pieces of jewellery.

Porcelain Jewellery
Unique pieces of jewellery created from individually crafted and decorated tile beads. Each necklace begins as a slab of porcelain clay which is rolled to 2-3mm thickness before being decorated with impressed patterns and painted with underglaze colours. The beads are cut or stamped out the clay slab using custom made cutters. Each bead is hand finished to eliminate rough edges before firing to 1000c which converts the clay to a much stronger ceramic material. Tiles are then glazed and fired again to 1250c and hand finished. I string each set of beads with other beads especially freshwater pearls, ceramic replica shells and semi -precious stones.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
